In a village in Mykolaiv region, a dry grass fire spread to a private house. As a result, a woman died and her daughter was injured.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Oblast State Emergency Service.

According to rescuers, the fire was caused by a recklessly thrown cigarette butt.

"Heat and gusty winds caused the rapid spread of the fire, which spread to outbuildings and a residential building. It was in this house that the deceased woman born in 1939 lived," the rescuers said.
