The session of the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa on October 7 to impose a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention on the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Manning and Social Support, Yevhen Borysov, also ended in a break.

As journalist Yulia Khymeryk reported from the courtroom, none of the defendant's defense lawyers appeared, but all provided explanations for good cause.

Yevhen Borysov himself is in the hospital. Prosecutors from the Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office sent a request to the hospital to get information about his condition and the possibility of holding a hearing. The doctors replied that he could participate online. Therefore, the prosecution prepared a motion to hold the hearing in this format, with another motion to engage a lawyer from the free legal aid center for a separate urgent action.

The lawyer read out the articles of the Criminal Procedure Code and stated that he did not know the opinion of the accused, whether he was against the involvement of a third-party lawyer, did not know whether he agreed to hold the hearing online and needed time to familiarize himself with the prosecutors' motion.

On October 6, the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa postponed the hearing of the case of Yevhen Borysov, the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Manning and Social Support, who is accused of leaving his unit without permission.

The defendant's health suddenly deteriorated and he was hospitalized. Prosecutors from the specialized defense prosecutor's office in the southern region requested that the defendant be held in custody as a preventive measure. The defense lawyers objected to such a measure of restraint.
