Health center "Young Shipyard Worker" in Odesa sold for five times more than planned

The regional office of the State Property Fund of Ukraine in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions held an auction for the sale of the children's health center "Young Shipyard Worker" in Odesa.

The press service of the State Property Fund of Ukraine reports.

Six bidders competed for the facility. Compared to the starting price, the cost increased by 4.9 times. The starting price was UAH 14 million 207.9 thousand.

The winner was Ukrremkontainerservis Limited Liability Company, which offered UAH 70 million 307 thousand for the lot, six hryvnias more than its closest competitor.

The buyer will additionally have to pay value-added tax of UAH 14 million, so the total economic effect could be UAH 84 million. According to the YouControl service, Ukrremkontainerservice LLC was registered in 2019 in Odesa region. The owner is Volodymyr Ponomarenko.

After full payment for the lot, including VAT, the new owner will receive buildings and structures in the Kyiv district of Odesa at 4 Kostandi Street, on land plots with cadastral areas of 1.2 hectares and 0.1 hectares. The total area of the buildings is 2,180.6 square meters, including four dormitories, a dining room, sheds, a summer cinema, showers, a medical unit, a yard toilet, sheds, a garage, a laundry, outbuildings, a guard post, a water tower and other structures. The privatization object also includes 86 units of movable property.

The land plots on which the privatization object is located were not the subject of sale and purchase, so the buyer will have to decide on the land use issues on his own.

This was the first time that the children's health center was put up for auction, although there have been discussions about its privatization for at least three years. Thus, during the session of the Odesa Regional Council on December 2, 2022, the deputies appealed to the State Property Fund of Ukraine to prevent the privatization of the Yunyi Sudoremontnyk children's health center.
