The head of one of the departments of the Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3 in Odesa was caught on bribery charges.

According to the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, the doctor agreed to arrange for the fictitious hospitalization of two children in exchange for money and issue documents with false information about their father's joint stay in the hospital.

According to the prosecutor's office, these documents could have helped the man avoid being summoned to the military commissariat and ensure his free movement around the city. The woman was detained immediately after receiving $400 for the forgery.

The head of one of the departments of the Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3 was served a notice of suspicion of receiving an undue advantage (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

She has now been chosen as a measure of restraint in the form of custody with a possibility of bail. Investigators are establishing whether other hospital employees were involved in the scheme.

Recently, Ukrainian special services exposed the director of a polyclinic. The former head of the primary health care center, who moved to Odesa region after being evacuated from the occupied Luhansk region in 2022, organized a scheme to misappropriate community funds. After his appointment in January 2023, he artificially inflated salaries, bonuses, and allowances for himself and his wife, whom he appointed as his deputy.

According to the Center for Public Investigations, this is a doctor from Odesa, Roman Trofymenko, who became the head of the Novopskov Territorial Medical Association in February 2023.

Meanwhile, the SBI reported exposing an organized group of doctors who helped healthy men of military age obtain medical documents that allowed the medical and social expert commission to declare them unfit for service.

In addition, SBU and police officers detained two heads of city hospital departments and the secretary of the head of the local medical and social expert commission in Odesa.
