Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko said that prosecutors had served notices of suspicion on eight officials in Odesa region, including the head of the Dobroslav community, Lyudmyla Prokopechko.

Intent asked the head of the Dobroslav village council for a comment, and she called the suspicion nonsense.

"They announced a suspicion of official negligence, the amount is four hundred thousand hryvnias. I don't know how to comment on this nonsense, because there were no violations on my part or on the part of the members of the village council who voted for the allocation of funds under this contract," emphasized Lyudmyla Prokopechko.

Instead, the Prosecutor General stated that the head of the Dobroslav village council was suspected of misusing UAH 1 million of budget funds, which were allegedly spent on fictitious environmental analysis services.

The list also included the former head of the education department of the Dobroslav village council, who is suspected of embezzling about UAH 500,000 during the repair of the roof of the school.

Meanwhile, the court imposed a pre-trial restraint on the mayor of Vilkovo, Odesa region, Matviy Ivanov, in the form of detention with an alternative bail of UAH 39 million. Law enforcement officers served the mayor a notice of suspicion of aiding and abetting the illegal extraction of local minerals on a large scale, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, which is classified under Article 27(5) and Article 240(3) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty for this crime is imprisonment for up to six years.

In the summer of 2022, the Vilkovo City Council was already searched. Law enforcement officers then seized all documentation regarding the land plots.
