Hazardous products found in most food establishments in Crimea

The occupation's 'Azov-Black Sea Interregional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor' reported on the results of 466 control and supervision activities that lasted from February 13 to November 10. The inspections covered a significant part of the catering establishments in the occupied territory.

This was reported by Holos Kryma.

It should be noted that 218 facilities were checked in such Crimean cities as Kerch, Krasnoperekopsk, Simferopol, and 41 facilities in occupied Sevastopol. A total of 259 facilities were inspected.

The inspections revealed violations in more than 80% of the catering establishments, which indicates a systemic lack of quality and safety control . The main violations include the lack of labeling of products used for cooking, as well as the absence of veterinary supporting documents for meat, eggs and dairy products.

In several cafes on the occupied territory of Crimea, as well as in a butcher shop in Sevastopol, ready-made meat products and raw materials (meat, eggs, dairy products) were seized, which had no labeling, no expiration dates, and no veterinary documents. In total, 113.8 kg of hazardous products were seized and destroyed from food outlets in Crimea and Sevastopol during the year.

Despite this scale of violations, only 227 warnings were issued to entrepreneurs, and only six individual entrepreneurs were brought to administrative responsibility with a fine.

Earlier, Intent wrote that an inspection of schools in Mykolaiv revealed that one in four did not comply with nutrition rules.

In September 2025, experts checked how children 's meals were organized in the city's general secondary education institutions. The analysis was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of March 24, 2021, No. 305, which defines the procedure and standards for organizing meals in schools and childcare facilities.
