The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced the government's decision to redistribute UAH 231 million, of which Odesa region will receive UAH 9.8 million.

In particular, the money will go to the Dobroslav community.

In addition to Odesa Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast will receive money: Oleksandrivska settlement community will receive UAH 27 million 455.8 thousand and Snihurivska city territorial community will receive UAH 13.6 million.

In the Kherson Oblast, UAH 6 million 651 thousand was redistributed to the regional budget, and another UAH 10.4 million was allocated to the Kalynivka settlement territorial community.

In total, the funds will be spent on 22 projects that are at least 60% complete. In addition to Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, the money was redistributed: Dnipropetrovs'k, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, and Khmelnytsky regions. This should allow the construction to be completed this year and provide safe learning conditions for about 10,000 children in schools and lyceums, including military personnel.

Earlier, the Center for Public Investigations found out how the situation with shelters in Odesa really is, who should determine their need, and why even in the fourth year of the war, the city does not have a clear system. The problem of the lack of shelters in Odesa - out of 3,696 necessary shelters and 124 mobile shelters, only 1,189 have been available in the city - has not been solved for almost four years of the full-scale invasion.

Back in June 2023, a Decree of the President of Ukraine enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine "On the Results of Operational Inspections of Civil Defense Facilities and the Solution of Problematic Issues Regarding Sheltering the Population."

This decision recognized the work on ensuring the readiness of the civil defense facilities for their intended use, including in Odesa, as unsatisfactory.
