Fuel has disappeared in the occupied Kherson region, buses no longer run

The fuel crisis has escalated on the left bank of the temporarily occupied Kherson region. In many communities, gasoline, diesel fuel and liquefied gas have almost completely disappeared from the market. Due to the shortage of fuel, people cannot refuel their cars and generators, and in some areas, bus service has already been suspended.

This was reported by IRS-Pivden with reference to its own sources in the occupied territory.

According to a resident of Kakhovka, it is almost impossible to find gasoline in the city and surrounding communities. Due to the lack of fuel, buses to Genichesk no longer run, and even the dealers who used to sell it in cans and bottles have disappeared.

A similar situation is observed in the steppe communities of the Genichesk district. Local residents say that gas stations are out of gasoline, diesel fuel and liquefied gas. Only in some settlements can fuel be purchased "by hand" at a price of 110 to 150 rubles per liter.

At the same time, in some places where fuel is still available, there are severe restrictions. For example, at a gas station near the village of Dornburg in Henichesk district, drivers are forced to stand in long lines, and sales are limited to 20 liters per car.

The problem is particularly acute in communities that have been suffering from power outages for a long time. Local residents depend on generators, but it is increasingly difficult to refuel them due to the lack of gasoline and problems with liquefied gas.

According to the newspaper's sources, one of the reasons for the fuel shortage was the successful strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces against Russian fuel logistics and oil refinery infrastructure. Ukrainian drones are increasingly targeting gasoline tankers and other vehicles on key supply routes between the occupied part of Kherson region and Crimea.

Representatives of the occupation authorities are already talking about problems with fuel. In particular, the so-called "Ministry of Agricultural Development of Kherson Region" acknowledged the shortage of diesel fuel for farmers and its price increase by up to 20%.

Local residents also fear that the fuel shortage could negatively affect the harvest, as some farms will have nothing to fuel their agricultural machinery with.
