Four members of Odesa City Council ignored all meetings of their committees

During the fifth year of its mandate, the composition of the permanent deputy commissions of the Odesa City Council has changed several times, and the level of attendance of deputies at meetings has remained unstable.

This was reported by analysts of the all-Ukrainian civic campaign "Certification of Local Council Deputies", citing the results of the monitoring.

According to the experts, there are some deputies who did not attend a single meeting of the committees: Nikita Avdeev, Oleksandr Edelman, Oleksandr Matveev, and Vitaliy Sautenkov: Andrii Kislovskyi, Vadym Morokhovskyi, Dmytro Tantsiura, Oleksandr Sheremet, and Yurii Shumacher attended between 25% and 49% of the meetings.

During their fifth year in office, 16 MPs did not miss a single meeting of the standing committees: Oksana Antonishak, Anastasia Bolshedvorova, Andriy Vagapov, Olena Vododyuk, Iryna Holovatyuk-Yuzephpolska, Oleksiy Yeremitsa, Oleh Zvyagin, Mykhailo Karpenchuk, Iryna Kutsenko, Olha Makohoniuk, Levon Nikoghosyan, Petro Obukhov, Roman Senyk, Oleksandr Slavskyi, and Eduard Stas.

Six deputies missed no more than two committee meetings and have 90% to 99% attendance: Oleksiy Asaulenko, Maryna Boyko, Oleh Etnarovych, Oleksandr Ivanitskyi, Antonina Kaprosh, Maryna Lozenko.

Seven MPs have 80% to 90% attendance: Oleksandr Avdeev, Vasyl Ieremiia, Liliia Leonidova, Svitlana Osaulenko, Svitlana Popova, Oleksiy Potapsky, and Serhiy Shmatko.

Seven elected officials also received between 50% and 80% of the traffic to : Ihor Batrakov, Natalia Zhukova, Viktor Naumchak, Tetiana Plaksiy, Daria Rybak, Serhii Uzunov, and Andrii Sharashidze.

Standing committees of the city council are key working bodies of the representative body of local self-government. It is within the framework of their activities that preliminary consideration of draft decisions, analysis of budgetary and land issues, formulation of recommendations for plenary sessions, and exercise of control functions take place. In fact, it is at the level of commissions that the substantial part of deputy work takes place.
