Former Law Officer Detained in Kherson for Collaborating with Invaders

A former law enforcement officer who worked for the Russian invaders during the occupation was detained in Kherson region. He was served a notice of suspicion of collaboration and a custodial measure of restraint was imposed on him.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, according to the investigation, the 36-year-old man voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupation authorities and took the position of "security company inspector" in the pseudo-law enforcement agency created by the invaders.

The collaborator carried out the orders of the occupiers and facilitated their activities in Kherson.

The investigation is being conducted by the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Melitopol under the supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Recently, law enforcement officers served suspicion notices to two residents of Kherson who worked for the enemy in the "police department" during the occupation of the city. They are a 37-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man suspected of voluntarily taking up positions in the illegally created "Suvorov City Police" that operated under the control of the invaders.

The court also sentenced a former police major from Kherson region who voluntarily defected to the occupiers. He was found guilty of committing serious criminal offenses, including treason and collaboration. The accused is a native of Illinka village, Kakhovka district, Kherson region, a resident of Fedorivka village, Darya community.

Earlier, Intent wrote that a Kherson court sentenced a postal worker who went over to the enemy and helped the Russian occupation administration.

Meanwhile, the famous traitor couple Olena and Gennadiy Shelestenko returned to the occupied part of the Kherson region after an unsuccessful attempt to make a life in Russia, not far from Moscow. The occupation media are already spreading photos of their participation in propaganda events in Skadovsk and Genichesk.
