Former Head of Odesa Customs resigns from the Ministry of Defense's Office of Change Support

The former head of Odesa Customs, Yulia Marushevska, has resigned from her position as head of the Ministry of Defense's Change Support Office.

This was reported by the official herself.

"The year 2025 marked the end of my work as the head of the Change Support Office of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. As a team of civilian and military experts, we have been working on reforms of the Defense Forces for more than 2.5 years. As a structure with no real powers, but only an advisory function, we still managed to implement real changes in a rather conservative system. First of all, thanks to the involvement of competent people from the army and the support of civil society," said Yulia Marushevska.

In 2023, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine launched the Office of Change Support. Yulia Marushevska became its head.

Yulia Marushevska is a Ukrainian public and political figure. Since 2015, Yulia Marushevska has been a member of the team of Mikheil Saakashvili, the head of Odesa region. From June to September, she headed the Investment and Development Agency of the Odesa Regional State Administration. On July 10, 2015, she acted as the Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, and on September 9, 2015, she was appointed to this position.

In October 2015, President Petro Poroshenko appointed Yulia Marushevska as the head of the Odesa Customs. On November 14, 2016, she wrote a letter of resignation from the post of the head of Odesa customs. On November 17, the head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, Roman Nasirov, dismissed Yulia Marushevska.

In 2019-2020, Yulia Marushevska was a member and co-chair of the Independent Anti-Corruption Commission and a member of the Transparency International Defense & Security Program team.

In March 2025, Ukrayinska Pravda awarded Yulia Marushevska with the UP 100. The Power of Women" along with 13 other leaders in the Politics and Public Administration category.
