Following the attack, Chornomorets Stadium resumed operations and announced new matches

Following the recent attack, the "Chornomorets" sports complex is gradually returning to normal. Despite the damage, the team continues its work and is already preparing for its upcoming matches.

The administration of the "Chornomorets"stadium providedan update on the recovery process following the attack. A significant portion of the necessary work has already been completed, and the hotel, office, gym, conference rooms, and other facilities on the complex’s grounds continue to operate as usual.

A female stadium employee was injured by flying glass shards during the attack. She received the necessary medical care at the hospital and is currently doing well.

Other employees and people inside the stadium took shelter during the attack; therefore, according to the administration, they were not injured.

As noted by the press office, restoration work is still underway. Some of the damaged glass on the premises needs to be replaced, and new windows need to be installed.

The stadium administration thanked everyone for their support and noted that the team continues to work on restoring the complex to full operation. They also announced that they plan to provide updates on upcoming matches at the stadium in the near future.

The Ukrainian Premier League Matchday 2 game between Chornomorets and Kolos, which was scheduled to take place on August 8 at Chornomorets Stadium, has been rescheduled to one of the alternate dates. The reason was damage to the stadium caused by the Russian attack on Odesa on August 7. At that time, the stadium’s roof, glass panels, and stands were damaged.

In early June, the soccer field became not only a venue for the game but also a place of remembrance, where applause rang out for those who will never return to the stands. In Odesa, FC “Chornomorets,” together with the “Tribune of Heroes” Foundation, held a special match in honor of the club’s fans who died defending Ukraine.
