Five Lenins in Odesa region removed from the list of monuments

The Ministry of Culture has recognized 14 cultural heritage sites in Odesa and Odesa region as not subject to entry in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine, including the graves of pioneers, communists, Komsomol members, and Red Guards.

The list of monuments in the Ministry's order also includes sculptures dedicated to Bolshevik leader Vladimir Lenin.

We are talking about:

Also no longer a monument is the full-length sculpture of F.E. Dzerzhinsky on a pedestal, located in the Dzerzhinsky sanatorium at 52 Frantsuzsky Boulevard. The full-length sculpture of S.M. Kirov on a pedestal is located in the same place.

The bust of Alexander Pushkin in the Children's Park of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi is excluded from the list.

No longer historical monuments: the grave of Yakov Mykytovych Lisieiev (1888-1961), an active participant in the struggle for the establishment of Soviet power in Odesa at the Second Christian Cemetery
Cemetery, the historical site where international detachments were formed on the territory of the fire station on Prokhorovska Street, the mass grave of underground fighters and partisans of the Civil War of 1918-1920 in the village of Usatove near the church, the historical site where one of the leaders of the Civil War was killed on December 1 (14), 1917. M.I. Kangun, one of the leaders of the Odesa Red Guard, was killed on December 1 (14), 1917, corner of Italiiska and Deribasivska streets.
