According to Ukrtransbezpeka, more than 78,000 transportation licenses have been issued in Ukraine. Only 72.8% of them remain valid. The largest number of licenses was issued in 2022 for the entire period of registration creation

This is evidenced by the data of the Opendatabot monitoring service.

In Ukraine, 72.8% or 57 thousand transport licenses out of the registered ones are valid, while 27.2% are invalidated or canceled. Only one license has been updated since the registry was launched.

You can check transportation licenses on the page of the License Register of Carriers of Ukraine. The largest number of licenses is registered in the category "International transportation of goods by trucks" - 32 thousand, or 42.8%. Domestic transportation of passengers by buses accounts for 16.9% of licenses - 12 thousand, and the third place is occupied by taxi licenses - 9 thousand or 12.9%.

One license can specify several categories, and not all permits in the register contain categories. In 2024, 4.8 thousand transport licenses have already been issued, which is twice as many as in 2021, when 2.2 thousand permits were issued. The largest number of licenses was issued in 2022 - 10.9 thousand, and in 2023 the number of new licenses decreased by 11.8% to 9.6 thousand.

According to analysts, if you need to check whether a carrier has a license, you need to go to the page of the Licensed Register of Carriers of Ukraine and enter the EDRPOU code for an enterprise or TIN (RNOKPP) for an individual entrepreneur. The service provides information about the carrier's license.
