Law enforcement officers have successfully evacuated a woman, her son with a disability and their 10 dogs from the constantly shelled Komyshany in Kherson region.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police of the region.

The 67-year-old woman asked the police to help her leave with her son and pets because of constant attacks by Russian troops. The woman said she could no longer stay at home because of the constant shelling and drone attacks.

The police, together with volunteers, took advantage of a short gap between shelling and went to the family. They helped to load their belongings, put the dogs in special cages, and safely evacuated the family to another safe place. The family has now traveled to Odesa, where they will receive the promised assistance.

The Kherson regional police called on citizens to seek help from local authorities, volunteers, or by calling the special line "102" if they need to evacuate from settlements that are constantly under fire.

Earlier, a 40-year-old resident of Komyshany asked the police department to evacuate her and her four children as soon as possible after another enemy attack. Three girls aged 15 and 12, as well as a 7-year-old boy, could no longer stand the constant fear for their lives and hiding in the basement from "enemy aircraft".

Recently, volunteers and representatives of the Kherson City Military Administration evacuated 47 people from Antonivka and other hotspots of the community. One of the volunteers was injured as a result of an explosive drop from an enemy drone.

Komyshany is a village in the Kherson region, located not far from the regional center, the city of Kherson. It is subjected to regular shelling by the Russian occupiers, which leads to injuries among local residents and damage to infrastructure.

Earlier, Kherson police evacuated a mother and her 7-year-old son from the shelled Stanislav.
