A new stage of the Early Business Recovery in Southern Ukraine mini-project competition has started in Mykolaiv. The authors of the most promising projects will receive funding of up to UAH 180 thousand to purchase equipment or other business-related expenses.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

After the selection, the project team identified the first 14 start-up entrepreneurs from Mykolaiv and Kherson who will compete for support to develop their ideas.

The program's modules are focused on learning the basics of entrepreneurship, building a business model, learning about best international practices, and attracting investment.

According to project coordinator Anna Ganzhul, this is a new start and new opportunities for start-up entrepreneurs. Practical knowledge will be provided, as well as meetings with successful entrepreneurs in the region, exchange of experience, and networking.

Dmytro Oboronko, Director of the Mykolaiv Regional Employment Center, spoke about the support provided by the center to business representatives and noted that the Made in Ukraine office is part of the government's policy to support Ukrainian producers and increase the competitiveness of domestic goods in the markets.

The tour of the office was followed by training for entrepreneurs. In addition, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the employment center and the NGO implementing this entrepreneurial support project.

In addition, the regional platform "Dialogue between Government and Business" was launched in Mykolaiv. The platform was created to quickly address business problems at the local level.

A meeting of local entrepreneurs was also held in Mykolaiv. The participants discussed strengthening the business community, opportunities to raise grant funds and new areas of cooperation. Currently, grants open up prospects for business development by facilitating the implementation of new projects and improving infrastructure.

At the end of September, seven winners of the first regional competition for financial support for small and medium-sized businesses in the region in 2024 were selected in Mykolaiv. Each of them will receive up to UAH 200 thousand to develop and increase the production of goods, services, or works.
