Enemy shells 40 settlements in Kherson region: civilians suffer

Yesterday, January 11, the Russian military fired artillery and aircraft at residential areas of 39 settlements in the region and the city of Kherson. As a result of Russian aggression, 1 person was killed and 2 others were injured.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the Russian military damaged 2 high-rise buildings and 8 private houses. The occupants also damaged a warehouse and private cars. Beryslav, Tomyna Balka, Oleksandrivka, Stanislav, Osokorivka, Tomaryne, Antonivka, Havrylivka, Zmiivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Inzhenerne, Burgunka, Novoraysk, Blahovishchenske, Virivka, Vesele, Veletenske, Dniprovske, Dudchany, Novotyanka came under enemy fire and air strikes, Novooleksandrivka, Poniativka, Molodizhne, Monastyrske, Mykhailivka, Mykolaivka, Mykilske, Olgivka, Odradokamyanka, Tyahyntsi, Tokarivka, Rozlyv, Kozatske, Kostyrka, Kachkarivka, Ivanivka, Lvov, Yantarne, Shlyakhove, Shyroka Balka, Zelenivka, Zolota Balka, Krasny Mayak, Ukrainka, Bilozerka, and the city of Kherson.

A resident of Antonivka was hit by a Russian drone around 16:40. The 33-year-old man sustained a mine-blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his legs. Later, the Russian army dropped explosives from a UAV on a civilian in Zmiivka. At the time of the attack, the 44-year-old man was in his yard. He suffered an explosive injury, shrapnel wounds to his leg and back.

In addition, it became known that a civilian died in Beryslav as a result of a Russian drone attack on January 9. The occupiers dropped explosives from a drone on a 54-year-old man. He sustained injuries incompatible with life.

Since the beginning of 2025, Russian troops have carried out about 650 attacks on the Kherson region using drones. Seven people were killed and 55 others were injured in these attacks.

On January 8, Roman Matviychuk, the head of one of the neighborhood committees of Kherson's Korabelny district, was killed in Naddnipryanske by a Russian drone attack. The Russian military attacked a car with a drone, in which 71-year-old Roman Matviychuk was with the driver.

On January 6, an ecologist of the city council, Volodymyr Shum, was killed in a Russian drone attack on a minibus in Kherson.
