In occupied Crimea, Russian authorities have imposed temporary restrictions on electricity supply. The Russian-controlled company "Krymenergo" stated that the power outages are necessary to prevent the power grid from becoming overloaded and to avoid large-scale accidents.

This was reported by Krym.Realii, citing Russian occupation sources.

“Krymenergo” noted that the decision to restrict electricity supply was made by the dispatcher of the Black Sea Regional Dispatch Administration. However, there are currently no precise hourly schedules for the outages.

According to the company, power will be cut off selectively and as needed, depending on the load on the grid.

The restrictions were imposed following yet another nighttime drone attack on the occupied peninsula. According to reports from local Telegram channels, the Tavriya Thermal Power Plant near the village of Denysivka in the Simferopol district was likely targeted. NASA’s FIRMS satellite service detected a fire near this facility. There were also reports of a possible attack on the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant, but there is currently no official confirmation of this information.

Earlier, the occupying authorities in Sevastopol also reported restrictions on electricity supply, attributing this to grid overload.

At the same time, Ukrainian officials have not commented on the latest strikes against Crimea’s energy infrastructure.

Recently, operators from the 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center struck an oil depot at the Kerch oil terminal, as well as the “Kasta-2E2” radar stations near Kurortny and the “Nebo-U” in the Kerch area.

On the night of June 23, the temporarily occupied Crimea came under yet another drone attack. Amid reports of explosions, the occupying authorities closed the Crimean Bridge to traffic, and satellite images captured several fire hotspots in the Kerch area and at the “Kavkaz” port.
