The Easter fair, which will last from April 12 to 18, is being held in the Lutheran Church in Odesa.

According to an intent correspondent, the goal of the fair is to support Odesa residents and visitors, including internally displaced persons, and to create a safe and comfortable space for children and adults.

Concerts are planned during the fair, and the Kirche will also have a traditional food court, photo zone, stands with handmade themed decorations, and a children's space.

In 2025, Christians of the Eastern and Western rites will celebrate the Resurrection of Christ simultaneously on April 20. Easter is an official holiday in Ukraine. Since it always falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is usually a day off. However, this rule does not apply during martial law. Therefore, if martial law is extended, Monday, April 21, 2025, will be a working day.

Easter is the oldest Christian holiday, the main holiday of the liturgical year, established in honor of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the Catholic Church, Easter has the highest status of celebration. The date of the holiday is not fixed and is calculated according to the lunisolar calendar (a transitional holiday) in each particular year.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church, also known as the Odesa Kirche, is a historic building in the city of Odesa and the main church of the Lutheran community.

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine approved the transition to the New Julian calendar on September 1, 2023, during the Local Council on July 27. Accordingly, today, on September 1, it officially came into force. The transition for both denominations means that the dates of fixed holidays (which are celebrated on the same date every year) will change, namely, they will be shifted by 13 days. At the same time, the dates of the movable holidays, i.e. Easter and those dependent on it, remain unchanged.
