After the intervention of the Prosecutor's Office in Odesa, the developer paid more than UAH 2.5 million to the city budget as a share participation.

According to the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, these funds are intended for the development of the city's engineering, transport and social infrastructure.

The office explained that in 2019-2022, the company was building a furniture store in Odesa. Although the construction was completed and the facility was ready for operation, the developer did not submit an application to the city council to calculate the share participation and did not enter into a relevant agreement. This violates the law, as the payment of the share is the developer's obligation and must be made before the building is put into operation.

The prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit with the Commercial Court of Odesa Oblast. During the trial, the company voluntarily paid the debt, reimbursing the budget losses. The work on ensuring budget revenues and compliance with urban planning standards continues.

Earlier, Intent wrote that law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion to the director of a company that was building apartments on the Black Sea coast and evaded taxes worth UAH 4.5 million. The accused, while performing work on strengthening sloping areas against landslides on Dacha Kovalevsky Street in Odesa, failed to reflect financial and business transactions with the customer company in his tax returns. The case against the director of the construction company was brought to court.

Also in Mykolaiv region, a court case against a developer who failed to timely pay funds to the local budget for the development of infrastructure in the city of Pivdenoukrainsk was completed. By entering into a dubious agreement with the city council, he tried to avoid making the required payments to the budget.
