Following a public prosecution supported by prosecutors from the Kherson Regional and Oleshky District Prosecutor's Offices, a deputy of the Oleshky City Council from the now-banned OPFL party was officially found guilty of collaboration.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office on social media.

According to the court decision, the defendant was sentenced to nine years in prison with full confiscation of his property. In addition, the convicted person was deprived of the right to work in state or local government bodies for 15 years, as well as to engage in any activity related to the provision of public services.

The prosecutor's office materials state that before the full-scale invasion , the convict had an active political career: he was elected as a deputy and served as the secretary of the Oleshky City Council. However, in 2022, the official deliberately chose to cooperate with the occupation forces. At first, he took the position of the first deputy head of the so-called 'Aleshky military-civilian administration', and later continued to work as the deputy head of the illegally created 'administration of the Aleshky municipal district'.

The investigation established that the defendant was directly involved in the development of the occupation structure, recruiting personnel for the administration. He personally tried to involve local residents in cooperation with the enemy, offering them various positions in illegitimate authorities.

In addition to administrative activities, the collaborator contributed to the work of the invaders' punitive bodies by transferring computer equipment to representatives of the illegal law enforcement agency in Oleshky. His participation in organizing and conducting mass events in support of the aggressor state was also recorded. Since the verdict was passed in absentia, the convict will begin serving his sentence immediately after he is actually detained by law enforcement agencies.
