Deputy heads and secretaries of commissions to be elected in Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv has scheduled a continuation of the city council session. The deputies are to consider changes to the Social Protection program, a list of small-scale privatization objects, and the election of deputy chairmen and secretaries of standing committees.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council.

On December 11, 2025, the 49th regular session of the Mykolaiv City Council of the VIII convocation is scheduled for 11:00 am. The session was previously scheduled to start on December 4, but was postponed.

The agenda includes consideration of 39 land issues, one budget issue, 10 current issues and one issue from the floor. The deputies plan to approve amendments to the city program"Social Protection" for 2024-2026, as well as to approve the list of small-scale privatization of municipal property of the Mykolaiv community to be sold at auction. In addition, they will consider amendments to the decision of the city council of December 24, 2020, No. 2/36 on the election of deputy chairmen and secretaries of permanent commissions.

The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevych, issued the order No. 579r "On convening the regular forty-ninth session of the Mykolaiv City Council of the VIII convocation" on November 13, 2025.

During the plenary session on November 27, the deputies were to consider one budget, 39 land and 9 current issues provided for in the preliminary agenda, as well as introduce at least 11 budget and 12 current issues by voice vote. However, the meeting was again adjourned.

The meeting was adjourned until 13:00 on December 4, but the second part of the session did not take place that day. Olena Dvortsova, deputy director of the mayor's department and head of the information support department, told Intent that the session will continue on Thursday, December 11, at 11:00.

At the end of October, the city authorities decided to update the comprehensive program"Education" for 2025-2027. The changes are aimed at creating safe and appropriate conditions for the education and upbringing of children in schools.

The new version of the program identifies three key areas: the maintenance and development of educational institutions, the organization of meals for primary school students, and the provision of free meals for middle and high school students, including children from privileged categories and students of sports classes.
