A powerful explosion occurred in the occupied Crimea at night - a traction substation of the railway was hit. After that, a fire broke out, and in the morning the facility was surrounded by the Russian military.

This was reported by Krymsky Viter.

On the night of October 3, an attack on the railway infrastructure took place in occupied Crimea. According to the resource, a traction substation at the Buzok station (also known as Siren) in the Bakhchisaray district was attacked.

According to the resource's sources, at about 20:40, local residents heard a powerful explosion. As a result of the strike, a fire broke out at the substation, which was visible in different parts of Bakhchisaray. In the morning, the area around the facility was tightly cordoned off by the Russian military, who did not allow civilians to enter.

The Buzok substation provides a voltage of 35 kilovolts and is important for the functioning of the railroad in the region. It supplies electricity for train traffic. Information on the extent of the damage and possible victims is currently being clarified.

The military infrastructure of the occupiers in Crimea continues to be attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the situation is complicated by another serious problem - the lack of fuel. According to Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, the shortage is already being felt on the peninsula and will soon affect the Russian army.

He noted that there are many military facilities in Crimea, and even without the fleet, which consumes hundreds of tons of fuel daily, the organization of logistics is difficult. The railroad through the occupied territories is damaged, and the transportation of tanks across the Crimean bridge is a concern.

In September, the GUR continued strikes on air defense systems on the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula. Among the equipment destroyed by the "Primari" special forces was the RT-70 radio telescope located in Vitino near Yevpatoria. After the annexation of the peninsula, RT-70 was used to control the satellites that ensure the operation of the Russian GLONASS navigation system.

The radio telescope was disabled by a drone that hit the Goliath radio receiver.
