Corporate Travel Kit: What an Employee Will Really Need

A business trip begins with packing: keep your documents close at hand, make sure small items don’t get lost in your suitcase, and pack your clothes so they arrive without unnecessary wrinkles. Therefore, you should pack not as a random collection of souvenirs, but as a set of items tailored to a specific itinerary.

For regular business trips, a company can select travel accessories based on practical needs: a document and ticket holder, a luggage tag, a travel wallet, a toiletries bag, a pillow, or a garment bag. In the Full Motion catalog, these items are grouped into subcategories and available for branding.

The kit depends on the route

For a short flight, compactness and quick access to documents are key. A document holder, luggage tag, and organizer are ideal here. On a train or in a car, comfort and organization are more important, so the set can be supplemented with a travel pillow, a toiletries bag, or a shoe care kit.

For a business trip involving a suit or dress, a garment bag will be useful. It serves a specific purpose, so it’s more valuable than a souvenir unrelated to the context of the trip.

What to Include in a Basic Kit

For most business trips, four functional categories are sufficient. They cover your basic needs while traveling and help you put together a set without unnecessary items:

If employees travel in different ways, it’s best to create two or three different kits. For example, a basic kit for short trips, an expanded kit for international business trips, and a separate kit for those who carry presentation materials or business attire.

Branding should take the material into account

You shouldn’t use the exact same design on every item. A compact logo is easier to read on a small luggage tag, while a larger logo can be placed on a garment bag. On textured and soft surfaces, fine details can get lost, so before printing, you need to check the size, contrast, and placement of the design.

Corporate identity can be maintained through more than just a logo. A consistent color scheme, a business card with company contact information, and uniform packaging help bring various items together into a cohesive set without excessive advertising.

How to Avoid Overloading the Set

Each item should be tailored to a real-life scenario. A power adapter is useful for international travel but isn’t needed for business trips within Ukraine. A travel pillow will come in handy on a long trip but will be unnecessary for a one-day meeting without luggage.

Before placing an order, consider the duration of trips, the type of transportation, the amount of carry-on luggage, and how often the kit will be used. This way, the budget is allocated to items the employee will actually take with them, and the kit’s value will be determined not by the number of items, but by how well they fit the work itinerary.
