Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov has ordered the termination of the City Coordination Center for Civilian Support.

The relevant order was published by the press service of the municipality.

As noted in the document, the work of the coordination center was terminated in accordance with Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine" and on the basis of Protocol No. 6 of the meeting of the City Coordination Center for Civilian Support of March 20, 2025.

The Center was established on August 2, 2023, to support and coordinate the provision of assistance to the population affected by the armed conflict, including internally displaced persons, war veterans, persons with disabilities as a result of war, persons with special services to the Motherland, affected participants of the Revolution of Dignity, family members of deceased war veterans, family members of deceased defenders of Ukraine, and other affected persons.

It was headed by Svitlana Bedreha, then Deputy Mayor of Odesa.

A week ago, Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov signed an order to terminate the work of the working group on the organization and maintenance of personal primary military registration in Odesa. The fact is that during the session on April 16 , members of the Odesa City Council decided to create a new Department of Defense, Mobilization and Territorial Security. It is responsible for coordinating actions to maintain the city's defense capability, compiling lists of persons liable for military service and notifying them, and should allow for better organization of the city's work under martial law and fulfillment of new legislative requirements that provide for the transfer of some of the powers of territorial centers for recruitment and social support to local authorities.
