Children Rescued from Occupied Kherson Region Amid Russian Terror

Four children from the still-occupied left bank of the Kherson region have been returned to the government-controlled territory.

According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin, these are two boys and two girls aged 3 to 17.

"Each and every one of them experienced what no child should know - Russian terror, threats, interrogations of relatives. The main thing is that these horrors are over. And now the children and their families are safe. They are being provided with all the necessary medical and psychological assistance," the official added.

He also noted that the evacuation became possible thanks to the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy Bring Kids Back UA and the incredible work of the charitable organization Save Ukraine.

"Since the beginning of this year, 246 children from the Kherson region have been returned from the temporary Russian occupation," Prokudin said.

"In early December, three children were returned from the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson region. They were rescued thanks to the mission of the charitable organization Save Ukraine. The three boys, aged 12 to 16, went through difficult experiences during the Russian occupation. They were forced to attend occupation schools, under constant threat of being separated from their parents because they refused to comply with the occupiers' demands.

Recently, a program for the return and reintegration of children abducted by Russia, including orphans, was presented in Kherson. This program is being implemented as part of the Presidential initiative Bring Kids Back UA.

Previously, six children were returned from the occupied part of Kherson region. These are two girls and four boys aged 8 to 16. Among the returnees is a foster family raising a girl deprived of parental care. Her adult brother was evacuated with her.

Recently, a program for the return and reintegration of children abducted by Russia, including orphans, was presented in Kherson. This program is being implemented as part of the presidential initiative Bring Kids Back UA.
