The Security Service of Ukraine reported that it had documented new facts of criminal activity by the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the SBU press service, the official, who is also the head of a psychiatric clinic, received almost USD 1 million in shadow profits.

According to the investigation, it has now been additionally established that the defendant legalized this money through the purchase of luxury real estate and premium cars, which he registered in the names of close relatives. For example, such assets include an apartment in a new building on the coast of Odesa, registered in the name of the official's daughter, and a cottage near Kyiv, which he registered in the name of his stepson.

He also registered three BMW cars (in particular, models X3, X5, X7) made in 2022, 2023 and 2024 for his children.

Based on the new evidence, SBU investigators served the doctor a notice of suspicion of legalization (laundering) of the proceeds of crime committed by an organized group. The offender faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

In January 2026, SBU officers detained the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who is the Deputy Head of the Central Military Medical Commission and decides on the fitness for service. At the same time, the defendant did not reflect the relevant property in his declaration and registered it in the names of his wife, daughter, sons and other unauthorized persons.

He was then served a notice of suspicion of illicit enrichment and declaring false information.

Meanwhile, the Kyiv District Court of Odesa ordered the police to launch an investigation into a lawsuit filed by an Odesa resident against the actions of military personnel of the territorial center for recruitment and social support. Also, in Odesa region, a verdict was announced against an employee of public utilities for ignoring a summons. The man has to pay a fine of 5.1 thousand hryvnias.

In Odesa region, a resident of Liubashivka was tried for failing to appear at the military commissariat after receiving two calls. The man was found guilty and has to pay a fine. The court considered the case in a simplified proceeding, as the defendant pleaded guilty and agreed to consider the case without his participation.
