Border guards detained three men in the Podil district of Odesa region who were trying to cross the border of Ukraine in the Transnistrian segment.

According to the press service of the State Border Guard Service, one of the offenders had no documents on him, but he said he was a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic. However, after additional checks, border guards found that the man was a Russian.

It was because of the lack of documents that he decided to leave the territory of Ukraine illegally. In order to make them stop, the border guards had to shoot seven times in the air and use a sniffer dog.

It was established that the attempted border violation was led by the administrator of one of the telegram channels, who remotely provided instructions on the route. The cost of this service for each client was different and totaled 28 thousand US dollars. The men, having no guarantees of successful transportation, paid the specified amount in advance to the administrator's crypto wallet.

Reports on administrative offenses were drawn up against the detainees, they are liable under Article 185-10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Malicious disobedience to a lawful order or demand of a serviceman or employee of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine" and Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine". The cases were sent to court.

Also in March, the State Bureau of Investigation completed a pre-trial investigation into a law enforcement officer accused of trying to set up an illegal business of smuggling conscripts across the border.
