Body of man killed in drone attack found in Kherson region

A man was killed in Beryslav, Kherson region, as a result of a UAV attack <span><span><span>-</span></span></span> proceedings have been initiated.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The post says that under the procedural guidance of the Beryslav District Prosecutor's Office, an investigation was launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Thus, according to the investigation, on August 8, 2024, the Russian military once again shelled Beryslav in the Kherson region. Today, on August 9, while documenting the consequences of the enemy attacks, the body of a 53-year-old man was found. Preliminarily, his death was caused by a UAV attack.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the shelling.

Earlier it was reported that on August 8, Antonivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Komyshany, Shyroka Balka, Nadezhdivka, Zorivka, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Romashkove, Veletenske, Mykilske, Poniativka, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Tyahynka, Havrylivka, Burgunka and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes of the Russian occupation army in Kherson region. Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops fired 11 times at the settlements of the Kherson city territorial community. Damage was recorded in Kherson and Antonivka. In particular, 14 private houses and three multi-storey buildings, four civilian cars, and three private garages were damaged. According to Prokudin, six people were injured in the right-bank part of Kherson region that day as a result of Russian aggression.

It was also reported that as a result of Russian hostile shelling of the Kherson city territorial community on July 28, 11 civilians, including three children, sustained injuries of varying severity.
