Attack in Odesa damages 18 buildings

As a result of a drone attack on the night of September 7, 18 buildings and 124 apartments were damaged in Odesa.

This was reported by the press service of Odesa City Hall.

The city needs to replace 182 windows and 78 balcony blocks in the homes of Odesa residents and more than 30 windows in the front buildings. The blast wave also damaged seven windows in one of the city's educational institutions.

In Odesa, the building of the Civil Registration Department of the Southern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine was damaged by Russian drones on the night of September 7. The Russian attack also damaged the Sports Palace and residential buildings.

A 5-storey building, grain storage facilities and seven cars were damaged in the nearby settlements of Odesa district and in one village in Odesa region. The Botanical Garden was also damaged.

On the night of September 7, the enemy launched a combined strike on the territory of Ukraine using attack UAVs and ground-based missiles. In total, during the strike, the Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and escorted 818 air attack vehicles:

The air defense managed to shoot down 751 drones and four Iskander-K missiles. However, nine missiles and 56 attack UAVs were recorded at 37 locations and the downed drones fell in eight places.

Kyiv was also hit at night, where a fire broke out in the building of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Also, a baby and a young woman died in the capital as a result of the Russian attack. In total, several multi-storey residential buildings in the Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts of the capital were seriously damaged by the attack and shelling.
