Oleksiy Malyonkin, a politician from a pro-Russian party, is accused of legalizing the occupation regime in the Kherson region.

According to the prosecutor's office, in July 2024, the man took the position of "head of the administration of the Ivanovo municipal district" in Kherson region. He was appointed through an illegal "council of deputies" created by the occupiers.

In this position, he was responsible for organizing the work of the local administration, solving economic issues and contributing to the establishment of the occupation regime.

Investigators served the 50-year-old man with a notice of suspicion of collaboration in absence. He is accused of collaborating with the occupiers under Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The text of the verdict, published on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office, refers to Oleksiy Malyonkin, born on April 14, 1974, a resident of Kherson.

According to Most, Malenkin's political career began long before the occupation. In 2015, he ran for the Kherson City Council from the European Solidarity party, but did not win a mandate. In 2016, with the help of the then governor of Kherson region, Andrii Hordieiev, he was appointed director of the municipal enterprise "Development of Sports", which was in charge of the stadium in the Korabel neighborhood.

In 2021, Malyonkin joined the board of the Kherson regional organization of the pro-Russian party "Ukraine is Our Home," headed by former Party of Regions member Borys Kolesnikov.

After the occupation began, Malyonkin went over to the enemy. He is now the head of the administration created by the occupation authorities and continues to perform economic and managerial functions, cooperating with the occupiers.

Meanwhile, the SBU exposed the activities of Oleksandra Pshenychna in the occupied territory of Kherson region. The woman used to be the starosta of the village of Zaozerne, and after the occupation she collaborated with the enemy and ran an illegal administration.

Recently, a Kherson court sentenced a postal worker who went over to the enemy and helped the Russian occupation administration. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison, but so far in absentia.

Also, an ex-emergency officer from the Kherson region was sentenced to 8 years for working for the occupiers.
