The President of Ukraine has awarded grants to young artists to implement creative projects in the field of theater and folk art. The recipients include Kherson-based director Yevhen Reznichenko and Mykolaiv-based stage director Yulia Shevchuk.

The corresponding decree was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The President of Ukraine has appointed grants for young cultural and artistic figures. The corresponding decree No. 75/2025-rp was published on the website of the head of state.

According to the document, theater director Yevhen Reznichenko received a grant of UAH 298 thousand in the field of theater. The funds are allocated for the creation and realization of the play "D.I.M." on the basis of the Kherson Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater named after Mykola Kulish.

In the field of folk art, funding in the amount of UAH 361 thousand was allocated to Yulia Shevchuk. Her project Hetman will be implemented at the Mykolaiv City Palace of Culture Molodizhnyi.

Grants from the President of Ukraine are provided in accordance with decrees that provide state support for culture, including young artists, for the creation and implementation of original creative projects.

In January, Kherson-based director Yevhen Reznichenko was shortlisted for the prestigious Les Kurbas Theater Prize for 2025. He was recognized for his productions of The Stone and The Milkweed, which he staged at the V.S. Vasylko Odesa Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater and the Yuriy Olesha Odesa Young Audience Theater.

Also, the State Film Agency of Ukraine was headed by Andriy Osipov, a film producer, writer and head of the Odesa Film Studio. His appointment followed personnel changes in the agency, which began with the dismissal of Maryna Kuderchuk in 2024. In 2017, Osipov became the head of the studio and began to renovate the studio: he repaired the pavilions, started museums, and intensified work with cultural heritage and film pedagogy. He is also known for his participation in the juries of Ukrainian film festivals and literary competitions.
