Arsen Zhumadilov announced that he is stepping down as director of the Defense Procurement Agency

<span><span><span><span><span><span> Arsen Zhumadilov, director of the Defense Procurement Agency of the State Logistics Operator (DLO), announced that he is stepping down from his position. His last day on the job will be August 31. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Arsen Zhumadilov announced this on his social media page. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>He explained that in August 2023, when he was appointed director of the DOT’s Defense Procurement Agency, he set a three-year timeframe for himself. Zhumadilov also outlined what had been accomplished during this time and what was planned for the future. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>He noted that the decision to leave the Agency was a personal and well-considered one. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

 

Prior to this, he headed the state-owned enterprise “Medical Procurements of Ukraine.” In that role, hecriticizedthe actions of then-MinisterIllia Yemetsin 2020, accusing the minister of hindering government procurement.

Arsen Zhumadilov won the competition for the position of general director of the state-owned enterprise “Medical Procurements of Ukraine” in April 2019.

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Previously, </span></span></span></span></span></span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Arsen Zhumadilov headed</span></span></span></span></span></span>the Bilyayivka District Administration in the Odesa region (which has since been dissolved). He also won the competition for the position of deputy head of the Odesa Regional State Administration but was not appointed due to the resignation of Regional State Administration Head Mikheil Saakashvili.

<b>Arsen Zhumadilov</b> is a Ukrainian public administrator and Crimean Tatar civic activist who received his education at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the London School of Economics, and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He has dedicated his active civic work to defending the rights of Crimean Tatars and developing civil society, notably as the founder of the NGO “Crimean Institute for Strategic Studies.”
