During the ceasefire in Oleshky, Kherson Oblast, Ukraine and Russia agreed to deploy two drones on each side to monitor the situation. The drones were to continuously monitor the relevant area and help verify reports of possible violations of the agreements.
This was reported byNovyny.LIVE, citing a statement made by Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Deputy Davyd Arakhamia during a press conference in Washington.
According to him, there was no clear monitoring mechanism in place at the start of the ceasefire. During the first 24 hours, Ukraine and Russia exchanged reports of alleged troop movements and the delivery of ammunition.
Arakhamia noted that before making accusations of violations of the agreements, he had requested video evidence. He also did not rule out the possibility that isolated troop redeployments may have taken place during the ceasefire.
At the same time, according to the MP’s assessment, these actions did not lead to a deterioration of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ positions.
Earlier, the British television channel Sky News released a video showing Russian troops bringing in heavy equipment and ammunition and rotating personnel during the ceasefire in the occupied town of Oleshky in the Kherson region.
In addition, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian troops took advantage of the humanitarian pause to fortify their positions. Ukrainian military personnel observed the rotation of Russian units, the fortification of positions, the expansion of anti-drone defenses along roads, and the buildup of logistics, particularly the delivery of ammunition.
