Another assistant of the occupiers found in Kherson region

A resident of the region is suspected of helping to organize a pseudo-referendum in Kherson region.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The post says that under the procedural control of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the resident of the region was served in absentia with a notice of suspicion of collaboration (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in September 2022, the 68-year-old suspect joined one of the so-called "PECs" operating in Kherson. The woman received people at the polling station, issued "ballots", checked the lists of "voters". She also agitated local residents to participate in the pseudo-referendum.

The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that a local resident who convinced residents of Burhunka in Kherson region to "vote" for joining Russia was suspected. According to the investigation, the 66-year-old suspect voluntarily joined an illegitimate "precinct election commission" that operated on the territory of Burgunka, Beryslav district. The woman took part in the organization and conduct of a pseudo-referendum organized by the occupation authorities, which took place in September 2022. With the lists of "voters", a portable ballot box and ballots, she made door-to-door visits to local residents to convince them to "vote" for the accession of Kherson region to the Russian Federation.

It was also said that a resident of Kherson region will spend 5 years and 7 months behind bars for participating in the organization and conduct of the pseudo-referendum. It was proved that in September 2022, the convict participated in the work of the so-called "election commission" created by the occupation authorities to hold a pseudo-referendum on secession from Ukraine and the accession of the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region to Russia.
