On November 5, 2025, actress Angelina Jolie visited the city of Kherson on a charity mission. A little later, it became known that the celebrity also visited Mykolaiv. Today, Jolie shared her impressions of the trip on social media.

The actress wrote about it on her Instagram.

During the visit, Jolie noted the constant and depressing threat of drones. She wrote that locals call the low humming in the sky a "human safari" as drones are regularly used to track, harass, and terrorize civilians. Visitors had to experience this firsthand when their movement was halted by having to wait for an enemy drone to fly overhead.

''I was wearing protective gear, and for me it only lasted a few days. These families live with this every day," Angelina Jolie wrote.

Many local residents described the psychological burden of living under constant threat. In addition to the direct danger, people expressed an even greater fear of being forgotten by the world.
