A former employee of a humanitarian headquarters was convicted in the Kherson region. For several months, the man had been passing information to an FSB representative that could have been used to launch attacks against Ukrainian military personnel.

This is according to the verdict of the Velyka Oleksandrivka District Court.

According to the investigation, the man worked as a humanitarian aid dispatcher in the Department of Municipal Property, Infrastructure, and Urban Development of the Novokakhovka Municipal Administration. Between August and November 2025, he communicated via Telegram with a representative of the Russian FSB.

According to the case file, the man sent the Russian side photographs of Google Maps sections marking the locations of Ukrainian military personnel on seven occasions. He sent some of the information on his own initiative, and some after receiving specific instructions.

The first documented incident occurred on August 20, 2025. Subsequently, similar messages were sent on August 21 and 29, September 16 and 30, and November 4 and 6. The court noted that the information provided concerned the specific locations of military personnel and made it possible to identify them in the field.

The defendant himself fully admitted his guilt. He confirmed that he was aware of his interlocutor’s connection to the FSB and realized that the information he provided about Ukrainian military personnel could be used to launch strikes against their positions. During the trial, the man expressed remorse and regretted the possible consequences of his actions.

The court sentenced the man to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for treason. Seven cell phones and 1,200 hryvnias were also confiscated; his Russian passport was destroyed; and over 7,100 hryvnias in forensic examination costs were recovered.

As reported by Intent, the man was exposed in November 20245 for collaborating with Russian intelligence services. Specifically, he transmitted photographs three times showing the deployment of fighters from a separate coastal defense brigade.
