An employee of the territorial center for recruitment and social support was fined 850 hryvnias for beating a girl near the district police station in the center of Odesa in 2024.

This was reported by the Dumska media outlet with reference to the verdict of the Prymorskyi Court.

The convict hit Antonina Tokmakova, an Odesa resident, twice with a crutch - first on the torso, then on the head. When the girl ran for her life, the soldier caught up with her and hit her again.

During the interrogation, Vasylyshyn explained that he worked at the TCC and was engaged in serving summonses and notifying curfew violators. That evening, he said, Antonina Tokmakova was near the district police station and had a conflict with a taxi driver with her friends. When he checked one of them in the Oberig database and found out that he was not registered, the guy was asked to drive to the TCC.

According to the military officer, the girl began to behave aggressively - she broke the windows in the police station, and when the bus arrived, she began to beat it. As a result of the beating, the girl suffered bruises on her forehead and back of her head, as well as a bruise on her side that spread to her thigh.

The court examined video recordings, certificates and witness statements. According to the documents, an ambulance was called to the girl that evening and she was hospitalized. Doctors diagnosed a bruised chest - the other injuries she claimed were not confirmed.

The victim was only prescribed heparin cream for bruises worth 180 UAH. The court found the rest of the certificates and receipts she submitted to the case to be unproven, including those related to medications for anxiety and old medical examinations. As a result, the man was found guilty of causing intentional light bodily harm and fined UAH 850. Another 500 was ordered to compensate the victim.

Last year, the police reported that at the district police station, according to investigators, the girl was behaving aggressively, picking fights with police officers, breaking a window pane at a checkpoint, and not responding to police demands to stop the illegal actions.
