An agency for the clearance of waterways has been established in Ukraine

The Mykolaiv-based agricultural company "Nibulon" signed a memorandum and joined the "Agency for Humanitarian Demining of Ukraine's Waterways" Consortium.

The company announced this.

The consortium also includes the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding, the non-governmental organization “International Business Club,” and the “West-East” group of companies, which specializes in engineering and technological solutions.

The consortium members plan to collaborate on humanitarian demining of waterways, developing technologies, conducting scientific research, and implementing innovations. Areas of cooperation also include training specialists, establishing standards, and implementing international projects.

ForNibulon, participation in the consortium is a continuation of its work in the field of humanitarian mine clearance. With the support of DEG Impulse gGmbH, the company established a dedicated division and strengthened its technical capabilities, notably by acquiring GCS-200 mechanized mine clearance machines.

In 2025, Nibulon and DEG Impulse began developing infrastructure and training specialists for the demining of waterways. In July 2026, the company received certification authorizing it to perform such work.

Vsevolod Petrovsky, head of Nibulon’s humanitarian demining division, noted that the company will now continue its work within a broader partnership, combining practical experience with scientific and technological expertise.

According to him, the consortium’s goal is to create the infrastructure and necessary professional capabilities to improve community safety and restore Ukraine’s shipping and economy.
