A well-known American philanthropist and philanthropist Howard Buffett, who is a consistent supporter of Ukraine, paid a visit to Kherson.

The head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko, wrote about it on his Facebook page.

One of the key points of the program was a visit to one of the city's underground hospitals. The philanthropist went down to the medical facility, where Kherson residents are treated in safe conditions, and talked to the medical staff and patients. According to Yaroslav Shanko, Buffett had the opportunity to see with his own eyes the challenges that the medical system of the frontline region has to face under constant shelling.

In addition to supporting medicine, the philanthropist paid attention to children who continue to live and study in Kherson. He visited the children's center of the NGO United by Love for Children, where he got acquainted with the work of the clubs attended by little Kherson residents. Howard Buffett not only handed over gifts to the children but also joined the New Year's celebration organized for the center's children.

Howard Buffett is an American businessman, former politician, philanthropist, photographer, farmer and conservationist. He is the middle child of billionaire investor Warren Buffett.

"Our center was visited by Howard Buffett, a well-known philanthropist and true friend of Ukraine, who systematically supports medicine, humanitarian and social initiatives in Kherson, people who stay and keep the city alive. They showed us how the support space works, told us about combined activities for children and parents, activities that help restore emotional and psychological well-being, and festive events that give children joy even in conditions of constant danger," the center shared.

"Such support and personal presence of people who are not afraid to come to the frontline city, see the reality with their own eyes and be close to our residents is extremely important for Kherson. I am grateful to Howard Buffett for his support of Kherson, for his humanity and for his faith in our community," said Shanko.
