Airstrike kills woman and injures three in Odesa region

One woman was killed and three other people were injured as a result of an air attack in Odesa region by Russians on the night of September 23.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service.

The attack also resulted in a fire in five kiosks, which firefighters quickly extinguished. The buildings of a hotel, Ukrposhta, Ukrtelecom, a cultural center, an administrative services center, and several cars were damaged.

Other regions of the country were also targeted. Several trains in Kirovohrad region are running with delays as a result of hostile shelling and damage to infrastructure.

On the night of September 20, Russia also attacked Odesa region, hitting a farmer 's warehouses, causing a fire. Warehouses with agricultural machinery were also destroyed. The fire was extinguished by rescuers and no one was injured. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. The State Emergency Service involved one unit of equipment and four firefighters, and the local fire brigades of Lyman and Prymorske villages involved two units of equipment and four personnel. In total, Russia launched a combined strike against Ukraine on the night and morning of September 20: a number of regions were attacked by drones, and after 5 a.m., 579 Shahed-type strike drones. Eight Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 32 X-101 cruise missiles were used. The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. They managed to shoot down 29 cruise missiles, two out of eight ballistic missiles and 552 drones.
