Airports in Ukraine are not working, but directors are getting paid: how much is it?

Even the directors of airports partially destroyed by missile strikes continue to receive salaries.

The declarations of airport executives for 2022 and 2023 were examined by Slovo and Dilo.

Boryspil Airport CEO Oleksandr Dubrevskyi declared a little over UAH 4 million in salary in 2022, and UAH 3 million 788 thousand in 2023.

In an interview with TSN, Dubrevskyi said that although the airport is closed, it still ensures the technical readiness of its infrastructure facilities and production technological systems, works to improve security and maintains the level of staff qualifications. Some of the company's employees are working as usual with full duties. Airport training centers also continue to train specialists.

Director of Kyiv Airport (Zhuliany) Oleksandr Nesterenko earned UAH 693.2 thousand in 2022 and UAH 652.1 thousand in 2023.

Acting director of Zaporizhzhia airport Oleksandr Konyakhin received UAH 1 million 64.2 thousand in 2022, and UAH 1 million 73.4 thousand last year.

In 2022 and 2023, Tetyana Romanovska, Director of Lviv Airport, earned UAH 906 thousand and UAH 872.8 thousand, respectively.

The director of the airport in Kryvyi Rih, Ihor Lashyn, declared UAH 590,200 and UAH 703,100 in salary for the two years of full-scale war.

Volodymyr Berko, who has been acting director of the airport in Mykolaiv since March 2023, declared UAH 667,100 in salary.

Vitaliy Pinich, the acting director of Uzhhorod airport, declared UAH 638,600 in salary last year. He was appointed to the position in May.

Director of Sumy Airport Konstantin Karpovich declared 536.7 thousand hryvnias of salary for 2022 and 470.3 thousand for 2023.

Acting Director of Odesa Airport Olha Makohoniuk declared 476,400 hryvnias in salary for 2022 and 434,400 hryvnias for 2023.

The head of Vinnytsia airport, Volodymyr Nitsenko, earned UAH 323.4 thousand in 2012 and UAH 378.1 thousand in 2022-2023.

The director of the airport in Donetsk, which was destroyed ten years ago, continues to receive a salary: in 2022, Vladyslav Blyzniuk received UAH 119.3 thousand, and in 2023 - UAH 309.2 thousand. It is worth noting that the municipal enterprise Donetsk International Airport named after S.S. Prokofiev is now registered in Sloviansk.

The director of Chernivtsi airport Serhiy Tomnyuk received UAH 272 thousand and UAH 284.8 thousand in salary, the director of Khmelnytsky airport Valeriy Soroka received UAH 270 thousand and UAH 271.8 thousand, the acting director of Kherson airport Ihor Zvanchuk received UAH 99.2 thousand and UAH 175.8 thousand, the acting director of Izmail airport Yuriy Radov received UAH 94.7 thousand and UAH 149.9 thousand.

The acting director of Ternopil airport Volodymyr Kulak declared UAH 270.1 thousand in salary for 2023, and the acting director of Poltava airport Stanislav Leliuk - UAH 155.8 thousand.
