Aircraft technicians announced mass transfer to infantry

Aviation technicians from the Carpathian 114th Air Force Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces posted a video message on social media calling on the public to intervene in the situation with the transfer of the brigade's specialists to infantry units at the front.

According to the video message from the brigade, according to technical specialists, another 218 people are to be transferred.

Sergeant Vitaliy Gorzhevsky, call sign "Bart," reported a critical situation that threatens the combat readiness of Ukrainian aviation, as 250 people were previously taken from the brigade.

Ruslan Kolishenko, an officer of the 114th Brigade, also supported his comrades. In particular, in his comments, he mentioned the mayor of the city, Ruslan Martsinkiv, and asked for his support. On his official page, the mayor wrote that he would not comment on the situation and that it was not in his competence to influence it.

Instead, the Verkhovna Rada proposed to summon the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, to explain the situation, but so far MPs have not supported this initiative.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy attacked 16 times in the Liman sector yesterday. They tried to break into our defense near the settlements of Novosergiyivka, Zelenyi Hai, Shyikivka, Pershotravneve, Makiivka, Zarichne and Terny. Five enemy attacks were repelled by our defenders in the area of Bilohorivka in the Siverskyi sector.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants attacked 14 times in the areas of Chasovyi Yar and Stupochky. Sixteen attacks were carried out by the enemy in the Toretsk sector in the areas of Toretsk, Krymske, Shcherbynivka and Bila Hora. The enemy directed most of the attacks in Toretsk.

In the Pokrovske direction, our defenders stopped 77 attacks.

Since the beginning of 2025, Russian troops have carried out about 650 attacks on the Kherson region using drones. As a result of these attacks, seven people were killed and 55 others were injured.

On January 8, Roman Matviychuk, the head of one of the neighborhood committees of Kherson's Korabelny district, was killed in Naddnipryanske by a Russian drone attack. The Russian military attacked a car with a drone, in which 71-year-old Roman Matviychuk was with the driver.

On January 6, an ecologist of the city council, Volodymyr Shum, was killed in a Russian drone attack on a minibus in Kherson.
