The Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa approved a plea agreement concluded between the prosecutor and the accused in complicity in taking a bribe.

As stated in the court' s verdict, the local district police officer involved the convict in collecting tribute, which he imposed on entrepreneurs on the territory of the Yarmarka on Deribasovskaya Street.

Thus, an entrepreneur who started selling alcohol at the Yarmark in 2025 was offered to pay UAH 12,000 per month for unimpeded trade in excisable and food products and for closing issues related to inspections of activities initiated upon request, as well as for not drawing up administrative protocols.

The entrepreneur was forced to agree and transferred the money in the amount of UAH 12 thousand to the convict. The following month, it happened again. It was during the second transfer that law enforcement officers detained both the convict and the policeman.

As a result, the court sentenced the woman to five years in prison, but released her from serving the sentence with a probationary period of one year. The court also banned her from holding positions with organizational and administrative functions for three years. In addition, the court ruled to confiscate some of the funds seized during the arrest - hryvnias, dollars, euros and British pounds.

Earlier, the Chornomorsk City Court of Odesa Region approved an agreement between the prosecutor and Lilia Alekseichuk, head of the education department of the Chornomorsk City Council of Odesa Region, who was accused of taking a bribe. Under the agreement, the defendant was sentenced to the minimum term provided for in part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - five years in prison, but this term was replaced with a probationary period of two years.
