A research project by Mykyta Kolesnik, an 11th-grade student at Odessa Lyceum No. 117, in the field of aerospace engineering and materials science has been accepted for presentation at the 16th EASN International Conference, which will take place this fall in France.
This was reported bythe press office of the Odessa City Council.
EASN (European Aeronautics Science Network) is one of Europe’s leading scientific forums in the aerospace sector.
The conference brings together aviation engineers, space researchers, and developers of new technologies. Presenting a paper at this forum is considered a significant achievement even for scientists with doctoral degrees.
Mykita Kolesnik completed the international Lumiere Research Program under the mentorship of a specialist from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). As part of the program, he prepared a scientific article on composite materials for aviation, which will be published in the National High School Journal of Science.
In addition, the high school student founded the international STEM platform Exores, which promotes the exact sciences and brings together young researchers from different countries.
He also leads the SOLYSTRUM project, dedicated to mathematical modeling and innovation in the field of space energy —specifically the development of new energy sources and methods of energy transfer for space missions.
The EASN conference will take place October 27–30, 2026, in Toulouse, France—the European capital of aerospace research and innovation.
Over the years, the EASN conference series has become one of Europe’s leading platforms for knowledge exchange in the aerospace sector, bringing together researchers, industry representatives, and policymakers.
The conference also serves as a key platform for presenting EU-funded research: here, projects gain recognition, and scientific findings move closer to practical application, thereby strengthening collaboration across the industry’s sectors.
