Russian occupation forces have once again struck Ukraine’s southern regions, attacking port infrastructure, a civilian vessel, and residential neighborhoods. Dozens of people were injured, including children.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, a civilian vessel was damaged on August 17 as a result of a “suicide drone” attack on the port in the Mykolaiv district.

Additionally, the Halytsynivska community was attacked by an FPV drone and twice by “Molniya” missiles. In Lupareve, a private home, outbuildings, a bus, and a car were damaged. No one was injured.

The enemy continues to terrorize the civilian population of the Odesa region. As a result of yesterday’s evening attack on a residential area, one more person was injured, officials said.

Thus, according to the Odesa Regional State Administration, the number of people injured in today’s attacks across the region has risen to nine. Six of them have been hospitalized, including two 16-year-old children.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, over the past 24 hours, 45 settlements in the region—including the regional capital of Kherson—were subjected to enemy airstrikes, drone attacks, and artillery shelling.

Russian forces targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods. Five high-rise buildings and nine private homes were damaged, along with a cell tower, outbuildings, a bus, and private vehicles.

As a result of the Russian aggression in the Kherson region, 2 people were killed and 10 others were wounded.
