Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) officers detained eight pro-Kremlin agitators in various regions of Ukraine, one of whom was operating in the Odesa region.

This was reported by the SBU press service.

The suspect is a 52-year-old Odesa resident who used social media to justify Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine and support the enemy’s plans to seize Odesa.

According to the investigation, on his TikTok page, the suspect shared a video of a speech by a pro-Russian politician—a former member of the Ukrainian parliament—who, on a Russian television channel, discussed plans to occupy Odesa with Russian Federation troops.

According to the findings of a forensic linguistic analysis, the shared content contains evidence of a crime committed against Ukraine. Also, according to the investigation, the suspect joined a live stream on a hostile TikTok account, which had an audience of nearly 300 viewers. During the broadcast, he expressed support for enemy attacks on Odesa and commented on the shelling of the city. The criminal nature of these statements was also confirmed by the results of the expert analysis. If found guilty, the detainee faces up to 8 years in prison.

Earlier, the military counterintelligence unit of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a resident of Chornomorsk, Odesa Oblast, in the Kyiv region on suspicion of collaborating with Russian special services. The detainee was involved in one of the Russian Federation’s largest attacks on the Ukrainian capital, which took place on May 24, 2026. Furthermore, following that shelling, she was preparing new Russian attacks on Kyiv.

And in May, in Odesa, the SBU’s counterintelligence unit detained a clergyman suspected of working for Russian military intelligence and coordinating missile strikes on the city. According to the investigation, the priest passed on the coordinates of military facilities, air defense systems, and energy infrastructure to the enemy, and also helped organize a double strike on a civilian location.
