Law enforcement officers searched the homes of the head of the Mykolaiv Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) and her son as part of an investigation into a mobilization evasion scheme. During the searches, $450,000 in cash and a collection of jewelry were seized.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the woman hid the jewelry at different addresses. Law enforcement officers found the bulk of the money and jewelry in her son's apartment. He is an intern at a medical school and has Russian citizenship, which was confirmed during the search - a Russian passport was seized from him, which he received before the war at the Russian Consulate General in Odesa.

The SBU added that the head of the MSEK registered three apartments for her son to hide her illegal income. In addition, they both received the second group of disability, which allowed them to receive additional benefits and social payments from the state. At the same time, in the period from 2015 to 2023, the official declared income of only about UAH 2 million.

Currently, law enforcement agencies are deciding whether to serve the head of the MSEC in Mykolaiv region a notice of suspicion of committing a crime.

Neither the SBU nor the Prosecutor General's Office has officially announced the woman's name, but according to YouControl, the head of the Mykolaiv MSEC is Vira Belyakova.

During the searches in early October, law enforcement officers found $6 million in cash, branded jewelry and jewelry at the homes of Tetiana Krupa, head of the Khmelnytsky MSEC, and her son, Oleksandr Krupa , head of the Khmelnytsky Regional Pension Fund (who has already resigned). The official also kept $100,000 in her office and a number of forged documents for male conscientious objectors with fake diagnoses. Investigators found that the family of the top officials owns 30 real estate properties in Khmelnytskyi, Lviv and Kyiv, 9 luxury cars, corporate rights worth UAH 48 million, and a hotel and restaurant complex of almost 3,000 square meters in one of the parks in Khmelnytskyi. Abroad, they own real estate in Austria, Spain, and Turkey. The family has also accumulated almost $2.3 million in foreign currency accounts.
