The director of a company that manufactures concrete structures for the defense sector was notified of suspicion of intentional tax evasion on a particularly large scale.

According to the press service of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Odesa Oblast, the company was charged with UAH 5 million.

The pre-trial investigation was initiated on the basis of an analytical product compiled by BES experts. Detectives found that during 2024, the company's director included in the tax credit and gross expenses the amounts of funds for non-existent and documentedly unsubstantiated financial and business transactions with two companies. This led to an understatement of value added tax and corporate income tax payable to the budget in the total amount of almost UAH 5 million. The amount of damage caused to the state was confirmed by a forensic economic examination.

If proven guilty in court, the director of the company faces a fine of five thousand to ten thousand tax-free minimum incomes with or without deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
