The Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support reported an armed attack on a serviceman - an employee of the TSC was stabbed.

According to the press service of the regional MCC and SP, on June 12, in Odesa, a group of representatives of the MCC and SP and the National Police stopped a citizen to check his military registration documents.

The citizen responded to the request to provide documents with aggression and refused and attempted to escape. During the escape, the citizen used a cold steel weapon, stabbing a CCC and JV serviceman. Eventually, the man was detained, and an investigative team was called to the scene to record the offense. The citizen was taken to the police station for further investigation.

Currently, the life and health of the wounded soldier is not in danger, he has received all the necessary medical care.

"We consider this crime as crossing all red lines. The use of weapons against a representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who is on duty to protect the state is an attack that has no and cannot be justified. It is a direct blow to the country's ability to defend itself. It is particularly cynical that a citizen chose the path of violence instead of fulfilling his simple legal obligation to present his documents. This behavior is a direct consequence of the influence of destructive narratives that are deliberately spread in anonymous online communities. These communities are often a tool of the Russian special services, whose main goal is to disrupt mobilization, sow chaos, split Ukrainian society and, as a result, weaken the defense capabilities of our state," the regional CCC said.

The regional CCC believes that the man's actions are qualified under a number of serious articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in particular Article 114-1 (Obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces).
